Boulder Furniture and Mattress started as an idea in 1999 while Cary Schram was attending the business school at CU. He worked at a local furniture store and did the best he could in all areas of the business. His dream became a reality on October 1st 2002 when Boulder Mountain Futons Inc began, assuming the historical location of Front Range Futons at 2125 Pearl St. Back in 2002 the store was in its infancy and we sold inexpensive futon sets to college kids and the local community. To thrive and maintain profitability we needed to recognize the ever-changing landscape of retail and the rise of the internet and online marketplaces.

Now 22 years later the brand of Boulder Furniture and Mattress is going strong because we have hand selected and partnered with high quality brands that customers know and can trust. I feel so proud to own a family run business in the digital and online shopping age.
