Boulder Style futon mattresses are just like Indian cotton mattresses, and wrapped in 1/4" wool, they are firmer and have about twice as many tufts then our standard cotton mattresses. Recommended for platform beds, futon frames or to be used on the floor on top of a clean piece of fabric (Although air flow is recommended). They can be placed on top of a box spring/foundation as well.

Folks who meditate and are from Japan or India rave about this futon mattress. We make a number of custom goods for these customers and because of this, we have created the Boulder style futon mattress. These futon mattresses are handcrafted just like our other mattresses but we add two more layers of cotton and more tufts to create a firmer mattress. If you are looking for a firm 100% natural cotton futon mattress, this is the mattress for you! This is an exact recreation of the futon mattresses of the 70's and 80's. Made in America
